Thousands make tracks for Stafford Railway Circle’s annual exhibition.
An article by Kerry Ashdown in the Staffordshire Newsletter talks about the fact that wintry weather may have put the dampener on several local sporting matches but it was full steam ahead for model railway fans who flocked to the Staffordshire County Showground.
Stafford Railway Circle is hosting its annual exhibition, which opened Saturday and finished on Sunday
More than 40 model railway layouts are on show, from local displays created by club members to visiting layouts from further afield. But while some exhibitors were packing their layouts in the snow to travel to Stafford, none were forced to cancel their visit by the weather.
Around 5,000 people are expected to visit the exhibition this weekend. Alongside the layouts there are several stalls.
