An article from Bognor Regus Observer talks about the fact that visitors  to the annual Bognor Regis railway exhibition could travel back in time at its best layout.

The 1950s model depicted the narrow gauge clay pit lines on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorest. It’s authenticity earned its exhibitor John Thorne the Maxted Trophy from Bognor Regis Model Railway Club. This was awarded by the club’s chairman, Adrian Taylor, with deputy town mayor Cllr Pat Dillon.

Leamington & Warwick 40th Anniversary Show

Sunday March 8th was an exhibition for the general modeller with a well balanced selection between layouts and traders. The layouts on show were of the usual high calibre for which the show has gained a good reputation. The traders had a multitude of products for sale covering an array of scales and gauges. There were companies providing custom built baseboards, digital control systems, digital sound systems, locomotive and rolling stock kits, along with a vast range of ready to run models.

Model Railway Society’s 40th Anniversary Exhibition

An article in the Leamington Spa Courier talks about Leamington and Warwick Model Railway Society will be celebrating its 40th anniversary when it holds its annual exhibition next weekend.

The event, which is being held at Stoneleigh Park on Saturday March 7 and Sunday March 8, is expected to attract up to 3,000 people.
